School boards need to evaluate procedures and practices to ensure effective leadership. To help boards accomplish this goal, the Wisconsin Association of School Boards and School Perceptions have teamed up to create this online evaluation tool.

There are at least two benefits from engaging in this process. First, you will create a shared plan to address areas of opportunity. Second, you will be modeling a continuous improvement practice for the rest of your district.

The evaluation tool is broken into nine areas. Please use the following scale when responding in each section:

  • Fully Achieved: This is an area of notable strength that could serve as a model for other districts.
  • Mostly Achieved: Performance is acceptable, but future improvements might be considered over the next years.
  • Partially Achieved: Performance needs improvement this year.
  • Not Achieved or Started: This is an area where immediate improvements should be considered.
  • Not Sure: This is an area where I have neither observed nor have knowledge of our district's practices.

Your individual responses are anonymous. Once each board member has completed the evaluation, a report based on aggregate results will help the board establish planning priorities.

Thank you for your participation.
