We all know how important parent satisfaction is to being a successful school. But all too often, one or two vocal disgruntled parents set the agenda for the entire school. Understanding the perceptions of the “silent majority” is a critical first step in establishing your school improvement priorities. In fact, just asking your parents their opinions is a great first step in building trust and increasing parent satisfaction. This survey is designed to quantify parent satisfaction by grade level in key academic and non-academic areas. It also engages your parents in thinking through an interesting philosophical question, “How should our school measure its success?” Finally, the survey quantifies parent’s perceived importance of various “21st century skills.” Simply asking people what they think opens communication and sends the message that you care.
