Professional Practices Inventory

District Results

Welcome to the PPI District Results Sample Page.

You are about to view results just as a school district would after their teachers complete the PPI.

The PPI is an online self-assessment taken by every teacher in a school district. After teachers complete the inventory the district has access to online aggregate results.

As you will see in the following pages, the PPI District Results allow you to view the data in a number of useful ways. You will be able to see the strengths and weaknesses of your staff in each area correlated to the state teacher standards. You will also be able to view the level of interest your staff has in staff development in each area.

You can use these tools to plan staff development for your teachers that is relevant, useful and well-received.

How do you currently plan staff development activities?

The PPI gives you rock-solid data from which you can plan staff development. The PPI is an online inventory taken by all of the teachers in your district. After they take the inventory teachers can view and individual report online and districts can view their aggregate data online.

What do your teachers do now to assess their own strengths and weaknesses?

The PPI gives each of your teachers a chance to self-assess their own strengths and weaknesses based on the Wisconsin Teacher Standards. Plus it links them to resources to help them improve.

What really sets the PPI apart from any other method of planning staff development is that we ask the teachers what they would be interested in learning,

Of course we ask your teachers what they are good at and what areas they need to improve, but we also ask the "How interested would you be in future staff development in this area?"

We have all sat through staff development presentations where the teachers do not want to be there. Using the PPI you will be able to plan staff development activities that are not only needed, but wanted.
